Storyhaven creates beautifully filmed life story interviews, gentle, unhurried conversations that capture a person’s life, in their own voice.

Filmed in the comfort of their home, each session is guided naturally, so nothing feels forced or scripted.

The result is a lasting film for family to return to, share, and treasure for years to come.

How it works

1. A simple conversation
We plan the session together and understand what matters most.

2. A relaxed filming experience
A calm, guided conversation—no pressure, no performance.

3. A beautifully edited film
Stories, memories, and photos brought together into something lasting.

4. A keepsake to treasure
Delivered as a private video and a presentation box for your family.

One day, the stories fade.

The little details.
The way they tell a story.
The laughter, the pauses, the personality.

Photos capture faces.
This captures who they are, for ever!

Why We Do What We Do

This business started from something deeply personal.

I once had the idea of sitting down with my mum and dad and recording their life stories. Not in a rushed way, not just a few photos or memories here and there, but properly. Their childhood, the struggles, the funny moments, the things they never usually talked about. The kind of stories you only hear when someone feels truly listened to.

I always meant to do it.

But life got in the way. I kept putting it off, telling myself there would be time later. One day I would set up the camera, ask the questions, and capture it all properly.

That day never came.

My dad passed away in 2021. And now my mum is no longer here either. And what I’m left with is the same thought that so many people have too late in life.

I wish I had recorded their voices. I wish I had captured their laughter, their stories, their memories in their own words. Not just in my memory, but properly preserved for the family that comes after us.

That regret is what became Storyhaven.

Because I realised something important. We all think there will be more time. More birthdays, more Sunday visits, more chances to ask the questions we never quite get around to. But time doesn’t wait for us to be ready.

Now I do this so other families don’t end up with that same feeling.

We don’t just record interviews. We preserve people. We capture the sound of a life lived, in their own voice, so it can be heard long after they are gone.

If we can give even one family the chance to hold onto that forever, then this exists for a reason.
